Registration
Continues for Spring Storytimes
The next storytimes session will begin March 15 and will run through
April 29. The schedule is as follows:
Babies/Toddlers
Storytimes - Mondays or Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Rhymes,
fingerplays, music, and stories for children ages birth to 36 mos. and
their caregivers.
Preschool
Storytimes - Mondays or Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Stories, music, activities, and crafts for children ages 3 to5 years.
Parents are welcome, but not required to attend.
The
Laughs and Crafts Club - Thursdays at 3:45 a.m.
This is a special club for kids who are in kindergarten through fifth
grade! Come to the meetings and enjoy stories, games, activities, and
crafts. Registration required.
March
2 at 10:00 a.m. - Toddlers Create
Simple art activities for children ages 1½ to 3 years old. Children
must be accompanied by adults and be dressed for a mess. Registration
required.

8 at 6:30 p.m. - Friends of the APL Meeting
We will be finalizing details for our spring book sale. See you there.

9 from 11:30 to 5:00 p.m. - An Afternoon of Quilting for Beginners
Participants are to bring a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies.
Class size is limited to six and advance registration is required.

10 at 11:30 a.m. - Story Snackers
This is a yummy new monthly program for children 4 - 6 years old. Each
month you will hear stories, enjoy activities and eat a snack you make
yourself. Our theme for March is "Leapin' Leprechauns!!" Registration
is required.

13 at 1:00 p.m. - Toon Family Spring Concert
The Toon Family will present a spring concert of Celtic music. This
is a free program open to the public and will be held in the Adult reading
area of the library.

15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 9:30 a.m. - Babies/Toddlers Storytimes
This program is for children birth - 36 months and their caregivers.
Program will include rhymes, fingerplays, music, and stories. Registration
required.

15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 10:30 a.m. - Preschool Storytimes
Stories, music, activities, and crafts for children ages 3 through 5.
Parents are welcome to either participate with their child, or can use
the time to browse the Library for their own interests. Registration
required.

at 1:00 or 6:30 p.m. - LITerally Speaking Book Discussion
This month, the LITerally Speaking book discussion group will discuss
The Piano Teacher by Janice Lee. This cinematic tale of two love
affairs in mid-century Hong Kong shows colonial pretensions tainted by
wartime truths.

16 at 3:30 p.m. - Legos Club
This is a monthly club for anyone age 6 and older who loves working
with Legos. Each meeting we will be building things from Legos. Registration
is required.

16 at 5:45 p.m. - APL Board of Trustees Meeting
This meeting is open to the public.

17 at 1:00 p.m. - Family Caregiving
Be Red Cross Ready with FAMILY CAREGIVING through the American Red Cross
is a presentation designed to make your caregiving role easier and more
effective.

18 and 25 at 3:45 p.m. - The Laughs and Crafts Club
This is a special club featuring interactive stories, games, and crafts
for kids who are in kindergarten through fifth grade. Registration required.

23 at 6:00 p.m. - Family Storytime - Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Sock
Hop
This is our annual Easter egg program. Bring the family and enjoy treats,
games, dancing and surprises all about Easter. We will be making a basket
for you to keep the eggs. Registration is required and begins March
9.

24 at 1:00 p.m. - Healthy Hearts, Healthy Bodies, Healthy Waistlines
Featuring Melissa Goss, Wellness Coach from Deaconess Hospital. In this
special program Melissa Goss will share helpful information and manageable
tips for making smart choices that will help you be healthier, feel
better and look better!

25 at 6:30 p.m. - Basic Gardening
Nancy Hasting from Hasting Plants will do a program at the library on
Thursday March 25, at 6:30 p.m. Her talk will be about "Planning
and Caring for a Basic Vegetable Garden".

26 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. - Flip for Filmmaking
Want to learn how to use Flip video cameras? Shoot and edit a short
film? Post your film on youtube? Come along and join us for a taster
session of filmmaking and fun after hours. A professional filmmaker
will be on hand to guide you. For grades 6 - 12. Registration is required.
March
27 at 1:00 p.m. - Rowan Tree Music Group
A free concert by Rowan Tree is a musical delight. Seating is limited
so come early.
