Inter-Library Loan

Inter-Library Loan (ILL) is offered to those patrons wanting to read materials which are not available from the Alexandrian Public Library, and which the library does not foresee adding to its collection.

Filling out an Inter-Library Loan Request form starts this process of borrowing from another library. ILL forms are available from the Adult Information Desk. Our library staff locates a copy of the book in which you are interested at another library, and borrows it from that library for you. The loaning library then mails the book to APL, and then you are notified.

You will be notified by telephone, if possible, when the item you've requested arrives. You may keep the item for 2 weeks or longer (as dictated by the loaning library), and renewals are unavailable. Inter-Library Loan is currently not available on-line.
